For 2PAX/4 PAX/6PAX face to face workstation, how many cross beam need?
In our communication with customers, they often ask how many crossbeams are needed to ensure stability for two-person, four-person, or six-person workstations. Here is a summary based on our 20 years of manufacturing experience.
For two-person or four-person workstations（face to face)
According to our years of manufacturing and installation experience, if it is a two-person or four-person workstation, normally 3 crossbeams can ensure great stability. If your budget is lower and the demand for stability is not very high, 2 crossbeams could also meet the needs. Some factories may use 4 crossbeams to increase sales, which adds to the user's cost (unless there are special requirements). Please refer to the picture below.
For six-person or more workstations(face to face)
Based on our manufacturing and installation experience, for six-person or 8 person workstations, including six-person ones, normally 2 crossbeams are already very stable. If you need to install or fix partitions in the middle, an additional crossbeam is required. However, if the length of the desktop partition is the same size as the table top, there is no need to increase the number of crossbeams.
For single-row workstations
For such workstations, if you want to save costs, one crossbeam can suffice according to our experience. For floating tops, an additional 4 brackets are needed.
The above three points are a summary of our years of practical experience, which is based on the materials we use (if your supplier uses materials with a thickness less than 1.6mm, our experience may not be applicable). For a four-person workstation, if one less crossbeam is used, along with the crossbeam die casting, 100 RMB can be saved. This can save quite a bit of cost for users with lower budgets.
